Ergonomic Evaluations
Who needs one?
If you spend four or more hours per day working at a computer, engage in any kind of repetitive motion (the same movement over and over again), hold the same posture for prolonged periods of time, if your job involves lifting and bending, or you are currently experiencing pain or discomfort which you associate with the physical requirements of your job, an ergonomic evaluation of your workplace could be very helpful.
Why is an ergonomic evaluation?
The goal of an ergonomic evaluation is to identify ergonomic risk factors and determine the most effective strategy for controlling or eliminating the potentially harmful effects of force, repetition, awkward postures, static positions, contact stress, vibration and cold temperatures.
